About
We Are Many (WAM) is an innovative, award-winning youth-run arts and environmental organisation based in Saskatoon, SK with a focus on practical outcomes.
WAM's launch in August of 2008 took the form of the largest 100% youth-run arts and environmental festival in Canada, if not the world, with nearly 15,000 attendees and over 150 volunteers. It was also the first large-scale event in Saskatchewan to refrain from using bottled water and divert 80% of an already minuscule amount of waste from the landfill through the use of comprehensive composting and recycling stations.
WAM distinguishes itself with its ability to work with a broad array of people and organisations, including elected officials in all political parties and at all levels of government. A high-profile registered non-profit organisation, frequently quoted in the media and respected in the community, WAM's networks include thousands of young people as well as hundreds of the young-at-heart.
